Andrés Guardado was born on 28/09/1986 in Guadalajara, Mexico. he came through the youth ranks at Atlas, then signed with Spain's Deportivo, where he spent for five seasons. In 2012 he joined Valencia, and two years later moved to PSV, with whom he won two Eredivisie titles. On 27 July 2017, despite rumors linking him to a possible move to Major League Soccer clubs Atlanta United and Los Angeles FC, it was announced on 27 July 2017 that Spanish club Real Betis had signed Guardado. A Mexican international since 2005, he has won over 150 caps.
